Thread: can BE get rid of scout with the new ranger revamp

can it go to the way it should be medic 0004 to get BE and get rid of scout i wiuld like to put thoes points in a combat skill to live a touck longer . Has there been any word on this ?

I ask you this, if they got rid of scout (which includes creature knowledge) as a req for BE, how would we know anything about what we are making? Mask scent is another problem. Why take these things away if they are an integral part of what we are and what we do? Yes I understand what you are saying you want to live longer if you get aggrod. I understand because I am a MScout, Nov Ranger, MBE, medic 0004, and some merchant. I have my Skill Points all used up and I am only level 21. I do not think we need MBE's running around at level 80. We are essentially lab techs or engineer who venture out into the field. Any medical team who would do this in RL would need some experienced battle-hardened protection, not just hand them a rifle and say hope you don't die. If you want to complain about Profession req's, then complain about them for Ranger. Ranger is the only profession in the game where you must have mastered another profession (scout) in order to qualify for it.

Sorry but they need to give us better sampling techniques then. We need a tranquilizer gun and some way to lure the creatures away from their 'packs'. No field biologist in their right mind would go up to and touchANY wild creature without it being alone andasleep in real life.

Also another reason to say no to removing the scout pre-requisite, our combat level, we have a very limited combat level which we are give because we need two lines, if they tok away the scout line they would remove any combat level (yes i know its only a small amount but every little helpos) that we have.

Yes i am grateful for the CL that i have, it at least boosts me a little bit. I don't know what the template of most fully dedicated BE's (meds, tissues and pets) but the BE's I know also have Master Scout for the benefit of the mask scent. I took that a step further and went into Ranger so I would have the ability to track (even though it is being taken from us) and the ability to wear armor.

They need to have a standard CL for a profession that is REQUIRED to go against CL 83+ creatures for sampling. The nice AUTO-AGRO ruins this part of the profession every single time for me.

Here Here, the tranq gun idea has been brought up before but they have yet to listen. another idea was to be able to sample froma corpse at least 1 time. Even now we can get DNA samples from dead bodies so why cant a BioE do the same?

come on guys half the fun is sneaking up on the creature 50 lvls higher than you, Sticking it with a needle without it even noticing you.


not to mention getting aggroed running 2 steps then ending up on your back looking up at the stars.


if we could sample a corpse what fun would that be.
