To fill in the scouting tree, once you reach exploration 3, you can go to Dantooine and fill out the rest of your hunting and exploration boxes in the twinkling of an eye. The creature density on Dantooine is just breath-taking, so getting scouting xp comes extremely fast. I think my rate of xp gain there was around:

5k/hour at exploration 2

10k/hour at exploration 3

20k/hour at exploration 4

You can see that the scouting tree will go by very quickly at this rate

Also as far as creature handler goes. The frogs hand you an unlimited number of untrained mounts so...

[edit] nerfed, oh well, that was fun while it lasted, lol

This is how I have ground out CH so far and I will tell you this. Its mind numbing! It will take you around 1130 pets to master and you can not macro the training process. After 2 days of 5 or 6 hour grind sessions my clicking hand is in pretty bad shape........................

Ohh yea anyone who needs help on scout XP can just send me a tell if im on. After tonight ill be ready to start the pistols grind and I dont mind others tagging along to harvest the stuff I kill.

ArthurDent responsible for multiple death of Dor as she whizzed around on speeder, getting knocked off and killed at every oppurtunity - I was NEVER good at getting scouting xp that way anyway

Hahaha, yea, another friend of mine told me the same thing, that he felt my "masked scent"technique didn't work well for him either. Oh well. I've now died exactly 20 times over there now. I know this because my noob clothing now displays in a big red box because it hit 0 condition last night, and I have a big metal arm for my trouble, but I did reach creature handler in record time, and I can reach ranger quickly too if that becomes necessary for me to get the dna I need to test Do what ya gotta do I guess.

If you have a novice elite combat prof (or even 4xxx maybe) you can get XP a lot quicker by just clearing out the yard trash you can one-hit. 68 scout xp for level 1's as a level 14 combatant, and IIRC the scout XP gain is tied to their level, not yours. Pretty boring, but all grinding is If you hit an average of 1 time every 2 seconds, say, thats 122,000 scout XP per hour.

Also i saw that xxx4 in scout has change from wilderness exp to scouting exp so crafting camps will get you all the scout exp you need in a very short time.
