I would like to see, if the CU is happening, that we get +100 sample DNA with only one branch of BE in the same way that doctors can 'dabble', then we pet making BE's can then build a totally combatty BE who ONLY has the DNA sampling tree. Then we can have another BE to actually build the pets.

Which would mean having an alt. And 2 accounts. Or maybe selling the DNA to BE's who won't be able to get it now.

Thats not actually a good idea. Since all the experiment and assembly skill mods can be achieved without the need for master bio-engineer there needs to be something which raises the quality of the items produced by the master. Thus the higher quality samples which are only possible with the master bio-eng box allows them to make better clones, to move the dna sampling mods to the non-master boxes means being a master just gives you the additional schematics.

I know - but if they are nerfing our ability to actually go out into the field and sample, I don't see how else I can do it and if they let medical crafters only take one branch of BE b/c they don't want it all, then they can let ME have just DNA sampling ... no? I mean ... hey BE isn't a PROFESSION any more is it?? it's just a collection of unrelated trees that share the trait of a. needing mostly organic materials and b. being unsellable as-isto MOST of the SWG players.

NOTE: this is said somewhat tongue in cheek as a comment on how frustrated I'm getting with the whole combat upgrade and how it is ruining my game. Not ONLY will it not let me to continue to function with the sparse spread of skill points over everything that I NEED to have them, it is also making my FRIENDS upset and thinking about or actually leaving the game. NOTHING they can do to fix it after the patch will make up for those lost friends.

Alot of people are getting upset over a half-finished beta. Do you really expect it not to resolve the issues raised?
