I couldn't find a viable thread dealing solely with changes to the BE profession as a result of the December patch. Please post discoveries here and send off-topic banter to new posts. Thanks

Here's what I've gotten so far from *numerous* attempts...

Numbers in DNA samplings don't make sense...There's a formula in this, somewhere, but it'll take a mathemetician to decypher things... Here's an example of the last crafting input and result statistics I've gotten. See if anyone can find the magic code....

SLOT 1: 623, 515, 618, 508, 580, 414, 511, 513, 333, 588

SLOT 2: 604, 305, 598, 508, 599, 414, 757, 511, 192, 581

SLOT 3: 127, 008, 121, 506, 127, 163, 1009, 507, 506, 193

SLOT 4: 312, 016, 325, 501, 321, 235, 504, 501, 418, 291

SLOT 5: 335, 107, 318, 499, 299, 236, 507, 506, 413, 287

FINAL: 340, 153, 300, 332, 109, 085, 517, 331, 194, 196

At first, I thought they averaged the numbers to get the final, but that's way off. Next, I figured they weighted the fields, like hardiness, etc., but that's way off, too. There's some formula in here, but I can't figure it out. Anyone a math guru out there?

Thinking that CL of the critter has something to do with it, I collected this data from flesh eating chubba:

SLOT 1: 014 015 020 512 014 089 758 510 189 060

SLOT 2: 015 004 016 500 012 079 759 502 188 055

SLOT 3: 019 012 014 508 016 091 760 508 188 058

SLOT 4: 028 017 025 510 021 089 761 516 194 069

SLOT 5: 012 010 011 506 016 081 757 505 195 056

FINAL: 003 002 003 332 003 022 691 338 064 013

CL of a real flesh eating chubba is 6... Not sure what's going on.. The final results are way low (prior to experimentation)...

Overall, I think there's some amount of weighting that happens to each number, based on the slot it's used in for the template.

HAM is definately controlled by the first 3 slots. The better the DNA, the better the total on the final.

Some critters can be made at dirrefent levels. I've made level 9 woolamanders and I"ve also made level 39 ones with 11k HAM, strong poison, and knockdown attacks. Surprise your friends with this cute little beast- heh.

DNA templates are all gone, except one. It's a generic template that can be used in any of the creatures. It seems possible to take a durni and give it rancor-like qualities, with a corresponding CL.

Meat- it's just for grinding now.. Old recipes used to allow a 2nd experimentation phase when the DNA Template was added to the creature at the end. Now, as long as you have *ANY* meat, you seem to get the same stat critter. There is no experimentation.

K- I've gotta go to work now.. This is just some of the info/projects I've had running if you can please add discoveries to the thread, it'd be much appreciated.

There is a post stickied to the top where this info is being gathered. It's called

SWG Academy of Bio Tecnology - Dedicated to gathering knowledge about the crafting of clones
