With the new changes, Bio-Engineer has become one of the most complex and fascinating skills in the game. I needed a change of pace anyway, so last night I dumped my Tailoring in favor of critter growing. As I sample my heart out (or rather, innocent chubas’ and nunas’ hearts) I’ve begun to research here on the boards how the new system works, and eagerly await each new post about how DNA works. I’ve also begun to wonder about the “shells” idea behind the critters, and how having a Kimogila “inside” the body of a Jax can be practical as well as fun. Since you can stick any creature “inside” any body type, why would you ever make anything that wasn’t ridable?

It seems like it would be much more convenient to ride your pet out to your missions or hunting grounds than to ride one critter (or a bike) and drag the critters behind you. If you ride on them they can’t get stuck on rocks and trees, or bugged and stop working all together, or even get wedged in zone crossings. Plus everyone who doesn’t have scout skills to make a camp will rejoice, since they won’t need to swap out critters. So why aren’t all these “uber creations” coming packed into handy, ridable models? Am I missing something?

Not at all...In fact I have made a couple really nice mounts in the last two days.

Carrion Spat CL34 Light Armor 9KHAM 30%KR 40%ER 45%HR/CR/AR 310-320@ 1.98 w/Stun and Strong poison and a ranged attack (this was my pride and joy and I sold it for 75K)

Brackaset CL43 Light armor 12KHAM 40%KR 70% to almost everything else [email protected] , w/strong poison and Dizzy attacks

I think High end mounts are one market thats really just too good to pass up. However, there is less of a market with vehicles out now!

Personally I like making my Durni's of DOOM! I cant wait for the one I made from Aracne Warrior and Bull Rancor DNA to grow up and rip up the PVP'rs
