Hi i just became a Bio-Engineer i am currently 0104 and am just wondering where and what is the best way to grind the DNA Sampling Column can anyone help me out as i have tried sampling manyanimals and have found no luck.

Any help you can give will be useful as i have no idea.

I've been hitting the sampling line pretty hard since I got novice. One approach is to write a macro to sample from creatures outside of major cities. Mine looked something like this:

/ui action cycleTargetOutward; /follow; /pause 8; /sampleDNA; /sit; /pause 12; /stand; (repeat)

This will work for a little while, but you need to sample things close to your sampling level for the most xpI believe. I'd reccomend just going out to a level appropriate planet and going on safari. (Like a starter planet at first, then with more skill places like Talusthen Dantooine). Caves or bunker places with the right level creatures can make for pretty good xp.

If you don't really think about it as a grind it can be kinda fun I think.

Dorelli has made an excellent clickified guide to BE herethat has a section on what the best creatures are to sample to help and get through that DNA sampling tree... be sure to check it out!

Might also find luck checking the other stickies on this forum as they have suggestions and tips as well

Make sure you find a high-CL person to group with you (they don't need to be present) for your DNA sampling, unless you have combat skills, since to get DNA sampling III and IV you want to be sampling CL~35s (I wandered Endor)

(I used the junk around Tatooine cities for sampling I, I found a spot near the escape pod POI with critters around CL23 (my CL at the time) for DNA sampling II, and used Endor for the last 2 boxes.

For kicks, try dropping a DNA sample in our house - they're as tall as a human, so they tower over my Bothan. I saved the DNA sample that earned me MBE and mounted it in my trophy room.

Also get the general buff from any entertainer which gives you a 10% bonus to xp.
