Thread: The upcoming CH nerf and how it might be a BE nerf.

Honestly, I am not completely sure at this point. But it will wind up affecting us somehow.

If the lower class pets get their armor dropped and become much weaker, then I see many non-ch's giving up on pets. Less people with pets, a drop in pet stims and pet vitals. Also, it seems this upcoming change is to deter CH dabblers..which means even fewer people in CH..fewer pet stims and vitals.

Also, creature adjustments. Any creature CL30 and lower are getting armor nerfs and maybe resists too. Bah, which one was it? Not a big deal for BE's really. Also, most creatures are getting adjusted to a degree, which means more in likely creatures stats will be reduced..people won't be too happy with that. This and we still have a large number of borked clones.

Now what would BE interesting if say, BE clones keep stats from before the change. Say Rancors get worse after whatever changes come, but then say BE ones stay the same. Who knows..just tossing ideas around.

Being a MBE and MCH, things look so gloomy.

man.. if they nerf CH one more time (that affects us in a huge way as others hav) and don't add any benefit to the ofensive or defensive aspects of a CH, i think i'll finally drop the profession that i joined swg to play.. granted BE caught my attention fairly quickly.. but man.. this sure isnt UO.. heh.. in UO, the tamers were the best PVE by far... and well known for it too... right now, a dancer with an at-st is the better pvechar.. kinda sad.

Or, say they nerf the pets in the wild, and (eventually) our clone fixes go in, giving us the ability to make them however we see fit. That would hugely increase our usefulness. Highly unlikely I know, but I'm trying to stay positive.

Actually if you read the topic they're just looking at weighing the new CLs a bit better, as it stands yes there will be no armour for lower end pets (w00t) but this will not mean people will shy away from pets. If anything this might simply encourage more people to become a CH which is good news for us, frankly on the whole I'd say your over-reacting to what is ultimately a very good 'nerf' which is creating a better spread of challanges.

if the BE's can make pets as customizable as we all hope.. the ch nerf will only help us...

perhaps we wont be effected because yes.. regardless of how crappy a pet is.. its still a suppliment of HAM and Damage...

i'm worried about my ch side of my character tho.. more than the BE side.. i want to use 2-3 pets that are actually decent! hm.. so.. gsp doesnt have armor anyway right? well i guess that's okay.. heh.. i'll use 3 of those.. but that doesn't do much for balancing unless they kill the resists that makes it so good...

back to my point.. i hope BE's clone fixes counter-balance the CH nerf to come..

Well the new system will actually be a blessing in disguse for us. If the CL rating is a more accurate indication of the creature then what you'll find is more diversity rather than the current trend where most CHs all have the same types of pets at different stages... no more herds of grauls following around CHs, no more issues with people always wanting the same pets from us... but then again under the new system the appearence of the clone should have utterly no relation to their maximum CL nor the power of the pet itself. That is assuming that the bio-engineer designer can be trusted cause at the moment he's broken his promise to have the cloning stuff done for the next major update from what I have seen so far.
