Thread: The Devs have now come out and said There may be a problem with the BE Pet patch
It looks like there there might be a problem. We are researching and will post here when we have more information.

Man... I hope they institute at least something to fix the fact you cant tell if the pet will be invalid until it's tamed....
My hubby is a BE, and happens to be out of town. I know he did not put pet deeds made with what was touted to be buggy dna on his vendors, but from what I am hearing that's not all that was changed.... I guess I will go and lock up his shop until he gets home and can figure things out.

i just wished when the devs post something, it actually has something meaningful to say... coz its amazing a thread goes up as an interpretation of every word written in a dev post. its like the devs make those posts to cause controversy andprovoke every flamer out there.
i'm also amazed how patches are instituted on live servers w/o thorough QA. i'm sure theres a test server for a reason, but that reason eludes me coz patch after patch, there's always a "surprise" factor. maybe blair is overworked, maybe he's doing 5 different jobs, maybe as a manager, there should be some honed managerical skillsthere somewheres, i dunno, i'm not in his shoes. but any way you break it down, this tempermental game called swg is only killing itself, and the people making the decisions need to dump the xenadrine.
i used to luv this game for its purity, now... i dunno. maybe i shoulda stuck w/ Blizzard. I dunno, i wish i had something important to say too...
The problem with the not testing is that they did not want people to know it was coming. They do not like to test or admit exploitive bugs... if they did that they are giving people a window of opportunity to exploit it even more. Instead on things like this they just hurry up and do mini-tests then shoot it out.
Their aim was to stop the crazy pets, especially the level 10 and below, they over shot their goal and screwed a bunch of other people. Now they cant come out and admit exactly what is wrong because it gives too much information away... so they give generic messages.
Hopefully they will fix it right soon and we will be left with something a bit more in the middle then it is now.
