noob to BE can anyone tell me what the extra add item for schems is and where I would pick them up?

if you are referring to the research data for making the additives as a BE ... it doesn't exist.

If you are looking for Food Additives to add to food. You need to purchase the Chef tissues/additives from your local BE shop. and then Mix with water to make the actual additive to mix in to your food product.
