Heya,

I have been a long time crafter. Ive dabbled in weapons, armor, tailor and furniture, and mastered ship and chef, artisan.

I recently respeced into BE with another toon and it looks like allot of fun.

I get a decent CL level and the system looks challenging and fun

Ive been reading how to make pets, but overall this looks like a great profession for crafting as well as getting out there in the wild

Just thought I would post even with all the negative CU stuff, this does look like it will be fun.

Thanks!

Now its time for some research and try to figure out what im doing.

BTW , I noticed that the creature dies if I sample DNA twice is this normal.

Welcome to the wild world of BE

Tip #1: remember to clone before you go out sampling

Tip #2: see Tip #1

yes and no, to the creature dying after sampling bit...every time you sample dna, you have a chance to kill the critter. this is modified by your dna skill tree, to a degree. you'll still usually get anywhere from 1 to 5 good samples from the majority of your targets before they keel over

Making pets is so much fun. Go out and collect DNA, bring samples back to the lab, create crazy combinations, do some experimenation, choose a skin, and see what you end up with.

Haven't touched it in the CU because it looks horribly broken at the moment. If it's working as intended..... wooooooooosh!

Doh! I wish I had read that before I respec'd. Would have cut down on the costs of bandaids.........

I too, respec'd into Bio-Engineer.

I was a Ranger2313/Smuggler0201/Pistoleer0021/CH0000

I have not played since 2003 when my RL friends left. I really liked the game and came back when they went from EQII to WoW ( they are now back to EQII and want me back sigh...)

So, I respec'd into a Ranger1214/BE0004 and artisan 0004

I like the idea of surveying for rare materials.

I was really just guessing what to go into in the BE tree but thought maxing out the DNA tree was a good thing so I could concentrate on grinding medical crafting.

Maxing the DNA along with Ranger skills seemed like a good combination. I am hoping to sneak around and sample and survey.

It was Sooooo hard to eliminate all my combat skills.

Oh well, hope it works
