This is more of a rant, than a question really
I make chef additives, mostly the popular Broad-Spectrum Nutrients.
The resources I use are high quality, and cost me about 20cpu for the meat and 8cpu for the corn.
That brings my cost of making 1 nutrient up to 880 credits, or 22k a crate (Power 85).
Furthermore, I use money for maintenance and power for the factory,
which comes to around 8k (to run a full schematic through).
Then my total production cost for a crate of Broad-Spectrum Nutrients ends up at around25k,
accounting (roughly)for the time and moneyi spent shutteling all over the galaxy purchasing the resources.
Now... I sell those crates for 45k a piece, but all the time, Chef's are telling me I'm overpricing,
that they can get it cheaper, most say they buy their 85 power crates at 30k a piece.
Not only willIhardlymake any profit (5k... c'mon)at selling my crates at 30k,
I will also look like the dumbest person alive, when the chefs sells their brandy at 200-350k a crate.
How can they expect us to do this? It's simply put: ridiculus

They are pulling your leg. When a 90 is the best you can get there is no way in heck that they are getting it that cheep. On my server I sell my power 87 for 60k per crate and I can't keep it stocked. If they want the best they will pay your price. Just tell them to go elsewhere and they will see for themselves.

Sadly, Eclipse is full of price dumpers.
People that'll screw over a entire profession to make a quick buck. ![]()
