According to the FAQ, DNA and Template quality is still something of a mystery. Is that correct? Is there *ever* an advantage to using low-quality? Or should low quality samples just be thrown out?

I find using low quality samples helps when trying to lower the cl of the critter and VHQ is good for making high level ones but it could just be a coincedence.

It seems as though on average each quality grade totals 50 points lower than the grade above it. So VH Arachne Warrior will total ~5125 points, H will total ~5075 point andAA will total ~5025 points. Similiarly VH Feral Bantha will total ~2725 points, H will total ~2675 points andAA will total ~~2625 points. My guess is that if a create (Arachne Warrior) has 5150 points then a sample which is upto 50 points below the creature will be Very High, 51-100 points belowwill beHigh, 101-150 will be above average and so on. Mind you this is just what my lab notes seem to indicate.

So is there any difference between lowering the CL with lower *scoring* DNA than with low-quality dna? Perhaps the low quality is subjugated to a lesser weight than High quality? So if you have 4 low quality samples and 1 VHQ sample, maybe the average would be not 20/20/20/20/20 but more like 30/17.5/17.5/17.5/17.5? That's what we need, more rumours floating around. :/
