Currently, I am a Master BE and Bladesmaster... but lately, I have found some of my pets sooo nice that I have been giving in to thoughts of returning to MCH (which I was before BE).

I want to keep MBE, lose Master Fencer and pickup MCH... then I will have 53 (i think) skill points left; enough for one tree in one elite prof and diagnositcs 1 in medic (then 1 point left).

I was considering the sniper tree in rifle, but my MR friend said that rifle sucks until master

I like the thought of the Pistol tree with stopping and fan shot, but it just seems like everyone has pistol.

I like the idea of crowd control (ala Carbineer) and that might go well with pet specials (once the commands get fixed)

I dont know about melee profs, I have been master TK and fencer and they were alright with a few skills, but since I am a wookiee, being so close and not that powerful tends to be a problem

So, fellow BEs, what do you suggest? What works for you?

I loved rifleman.. I never made it to master.. I didnt even make it to novice (rifles 3 in marksman).. and I was able to do headshot1 for damage ranging from 700-2000.. I could never don that with pistols (which I did go all the way to novice with )

I loved the rifle line and its a very good combo with pets.. pet distract, you do headshot a couple of times and BAM! theres a dead tusken (or what ever your fancy is)

So all in all I sugest rifleman..

BTW, I dropped all my combat skills and all my CH skills to get as high as I could in doctor.. I still miss my rifle skills every now and then got all my sweet rifles in storage for the day when I return to combat.. hehehe

I myself have had this issue over and over and over. When I mastered BE I was lost on what I should do to best fit my proffession and that would make it enjoyable and yet good at what he does. So I took CH for the pets I enjoy using my uber pets for myself and consider it very appreciative of your work when you are able to use it first hand. However for awhile there I decided to take Ranger for the extra harvesting and being able to locate the animals I was seeking. It was nice but it took me FOREVER to kill anything with no combat at all..So after playing with alot of different combo's I am myself going to MBE - CH 4 4 0 4 (CL 48, you can make a pretty sweet 48 for hunting) and Pistoleer 4 3 0 1 this leaves me with only one pt left. But it gives me a good foot to stand on when in PvP and when I am hunting. I can take a creature down faster thus balancing the non ranger skills. And you don't die as much. Alot of BE's I know take the TK tree of meditation for the buffs and self healing you are able to perform thru meditation.

It's a hard tough choice but depending on what your fancy is depends on that combat prof you take. But keep in mind the best combat prof for a BE to take is one that is not multi prof bound (i.e. commando, combat medic, etc.) unless that is your cup oh tea. But no pets for you!

Well I have thought about not getting master CH, but I REALLY like the high lvl pets I make On the other hand, it would allow me to get more of an elite combat prof.... GAH, a pox upon the skill point cap!

You might want to look at TK. The points to master are not that bad. They can be pretty effective close in fighters. The can heal and buff themselves, sort of. If you sample alot, you are already up close and personal when you get aggroed and the damage mitigation and damage dealing would help.

Know how you feel. Have gone from Master Combat Medic / Master Carbineer to Master Doc / Master Carbineer and after
getting disillusioned with the any hope of Carbineer ever being fixed I drop Doc and Carbineer for Tailor and BE. Have exactly 0 combat skills but can make nice dresses. I am thinking that after I master BE & Tailor and make myself and my guild snazzy stuff I'll go back up Doc and try Pikeman or something.

Or if they fix Carbines ... Master Carbineer and BH Carbines 3

One thing to consider is that with how we can make pets, you really don't need to be a MCH to enjoy a really good pet. If you want your pet mainly as a tank, there really isn't a huge difference between what we can do at CL 21 and what we can do at CL 35. The CL 35 one will have a bit more HAM, and be better rounded in terms of resists and offensive capabilities, but just in terms of pure "tank-a-bility" (hehe, new term), there really isn't a huge difference.

Join us on the wild side... theBE's with no weapons skills.

I decided to trade in marksman pistols 4 for surveying resources. Took a bit to get used to, but it's kind of fun. I just run around with my kitties and myRepublic Blaster pretending I can actually do damage.
