Thread: question about BE fish meat

ok i realize this isnt the trade forum i am NOT trying to sell anything hereplz dont mistake my post i just need to know what a fair price is to pay for fish meat and what is a decent quality for it i have checked the FAQ and i may have missed something on this if i have please point me in the right direction

Since this is the BE forum I will assume when you refer to a decent quality you mean for use within Stimpack D's. Using that assumption you will want to look for Fish meat with high Overall Quality and Potential Energy. The experimentation ratio is 66% OQ and 33% PE so I would suggest finding fish meat with at least 900 OQ and PE over700, obviously the higher in each stat the better and place more emphasis on finding fish meat withhigh OQ.
As for price since harvesting fish meat is a very labor intensive andcompletely manual process I would beleive, again depending on your server, that fish meat may cost between 100 and 200 cpu. Actually the best way Ive heard of collecting fish meat is by hosting a fish derby with a nice grand prize plus 100cpu for all fish meat collected.

Ugh, fishing is such a huge pain in the butt. It's no wonder that Bio Engineers never bother making Pet Stim D's!
I stood in a river fishing just the other night, and it took me about a minute just to figure out which combination of tugs to use to catch this fish... and then after I hooked him, I must have struggled with him for 2 or 3 more minutes, because he kept charging at me, and taking off with the slack in my line, etc., etc.. After a good 4 minutes of system message spam of me trying to catch that damn fish, I would get maybe 8-16 units of fish meat, and that's with Ranger Tracking 4!
In 4 minutes time, I could have wiped out several waves of CL 30ish creature spawns with little trouble at all, and harvested over 1000 meat from them. That's without any armor or buffs or uber creatures to harvest from!
There really needs to be a better way to get fish meat in this game, other than wasting away hours of your life standing knee deep in a river tugging your rod back and forth watching your worm get soggy...

Go read the fishing guide over in the scout forum. Its tells you how fishing works and I've gotten a few hundred units of fish meat in an hour before, and thats just with hunting 4. Haven't tried it as a ranger yet.

Yes but who want's to stand around for an hour just for a couple hundred units? Unless you enjoy fishing in SWG of course. Think in an hours time how many k's of meat you can get from creatures. Now i'm not adverse to taking time out to do something, i just want it to be worth while.

Well since I only make D's for me, I fish when I'm running low or just bored. An hour or 2 gives me enough for at least a crate, sometime 2.
