If your inventory is full, what happens if you try to sample??

Do you not get any xp and not able to sample, or does it let you sample and you get XP but nothing appears in your inventory??

I spent about 30 minutes yesterday failing over and over on the same creature. Before I recieved a message that my inventory was full. This time I did not.

I couldn't figure out why untill I opened my inventory to pop some more muon gold. haha 59/60 items in my inventory.

Sorry for the noob question, but I can't seem to find the info anywhere. Is there a max level of creature you can sample from, or can you sample from anything in the game?

max is 70 i believe.

We used to be able to sample anything in the game but that changed a while back.

Mutant Rancors are the highest thing we can currently sample and they are CL 75
