I was selling a full-grown pet I had created awhile back, andIwas advertising in coronet. I did a search for CHs, and found a novice CH, so i sent him a tell:
Me : Hey
Him : And who might you be?
Me : I have a pet here I'm selling and thought you might be interested.
Him : Stats?
Me: Level 11, 10k health, 59% kinetic, intimidate attack.
Him : tell me.
Him : WhyI wouldspend 10k ona pet withthe same stats of the pet I have on me that has a higher level?
Him : Please tell me.
Me : It would be more than 10k, because it has a lower level...
Him : Do I even know you?
Me : No, i used the search command to find you.
Him : I don't want it
Me: Alright.
*A few seconds pass...*
Him: Would you like a glass table top first section?
Me: Tell me...
Me: Why I would want a glass table section if I already have the whole glass table?
Me : Please tell me.
Him : Oh, okay j/w
*A few more seconds pass..*
Him: Man, you'ref*$#ingp*ssy.
Me : Huh?
Him: What?
Me : I'm confused about your last comment.
Him : What part didn't you understand?
Me : Just curious as to why you tried to insult me.
Him : Because you're being a loser.
Me : How so?
Him : Alright..
Him : I don't know
Him : You don't know me.
Him : Just stop talking to me and get on with your life.
Me : What's your problem?
Him : Let me put this in words you can comprehend.
Him : JUST LEAVE ME THE f%$# ALONE!!!
Him : Understand that?
Him : Didn't think so.
Me : You're right, I didn't.
Me : So how are you today?
Him : Just leave me alone.
Me : You were very rude through this entire conversation, and there was no reason for insults. I asked if you wanted the pet, and you could have responded with "No thanks." I suggest practicing on social ineteraction. I'm going to stop talking to you now, but not because you asked me. You're on my ignore list.

that sucks. i've come across a lot of people lately who are like that. mostly creature handlers and i hate to say that. just last night some guy came up and asked me if i had any level 12 pets. i told him i had some on my vendor. he said he didn't have a bike. then he said "how much are they so i can see if it's worth the trip." i tell him it depends on their stats and give him a margin that they could fall under and it was a huge margin. he says "HAHAHAHAHAHA!! *laughs*" and then "good day" . then a few mintues later he pulls out his bike and takes off. **edit**? also i love that he had to add *laughs* after he typed out laughter. what a genius.
i bet your guy and my guy were the same person.

I've got a great one also. Wish i could find the screen cap i did of it but i can't.
Went something like this:
Him: Hey where do you find Graul Maulers(this was way back before the CH nerf, i was MCH)
ME: On Dantooine, usually southwest of the Imperial outpost, but they are a bit tricky to find.
Him: Ok tks bro.
ME: Np man good luck!
*one minet later*
Him: Hey A$$hole, why did you tell me to go to dantooine??! Graul's are on Danthomir!!
ME: No dude i swear they are on DANTOOINE.
Him: STOP LIEING!! I KNOW THEY ARE ON DANTHOMIR!!
ME: Don't be so rude i KNOW they are on Dantooine.
ME: What makes you so sure they are on danthomir? Rancors are on Danthomir but not GRAULS
Him: It says is in the Holocron.
ME: lol and of course as we know the dev's arn't entitled to make mistakes
ME: The holo is wrong i swear to you they are on dantooine
Him: NO YOU'RE LIEING!!
ME: OK man you go to danthomir i swear you won't find any grauls
Him: STOP LIEING STOP BEING AN A$$HOLE I'M ADDING YOU TO MY IGNORE LIST!!
Thinking about this conversation still makes me laugh!! Poor n00b CH running from rancors, spiders and nightsisters on Danthomir looking for his precious Graul Maulers. I often wonder how long he looked?

Btw just saying that grauls were on dathmir i think before ch nerf neer the imperial prison im not shure when they moved but i now they moved to dant at some point but 1 point they were on dathmir but the holocron said daintione
but i now they were on dathmir cos i was ch ages and ages ago and i used to get them there they were on dathmir before speeders came out long time ago

really? lol huh ...well at the time i had just tamed 4 on dantooine so i KNEW they were there. I still havn't seen any on danthomir... but i don't look for them anymore

no they were on dathmir and dathmir alone before speeders well before speeders cos i had to walk like 8k to the spawn area but they moved em to dant i cant rember when but i now they were on dathmir before speeders they were moved to dant around the speeders came along cos i looked for ages to find my m8 told me they moved to dant

The Grauls were on both Dath and Dant until about a year ago and then they poofed from Dath. There was never any official word on it and the CH's asked about it alot back then. They never got an answer.
To the original poster, most of that conversation was because the noob did not understand how the /r and /tell commands work. I would apologize for my profession I have been a MCH since shortly after release. Since the CH was beaten to a pulp back in December there are very few real CH's left. I would guess that around 90% of the Novices you see are noobs who eventually give it up and move to the FOTM. If you think dealing with them as a BE is tough, you should see what a MCH goes through. Try spending a half hour explain to a noob that the level 69 Kimo he bought from a vendor is all but useless to him untill he can train the deed himself. Typical exchange:
noob: Can you train a deed for me?
Me: Yes, where are you?
noob: At the bank. How much.
Me: I will do it for free. (thinking it is a mount)
noob: OK gr8.
Me: You will have to trade the deed to me.
noob: How do I know you will give it back?
Me: You will have to trust me. Besides, I could go out and train my own if I wanted one. (Still thinking mount)
noob: Ok, I will trust you. (He trades me a deed for level 69 Kimo)
Me: Ummm, what level CH are you? (Thinking he was close to master and wanted it grown when he mastered)
noob: I have one box.
Me: Sorry, I can not train this for you because if I did I would not be able to give it back to you.
noob: What? Are you trying to cheat me?
Me: Trade (I give him back the deed.)
noob: How do I know this is the same one? You could be cheating me and lying.
Me: I have no need to cheat anyone. Go to the board forum and read the CH FAQ. I originally thought you wanted a mount trained. You will not be able to use the Kimo until you can train it yourself and since you are not a Wookie, you will need special clothes to increase your Taming Vicious level when you master to control it.
noob: Now I know you are lying. I am reporting you to a CSR.
Me: Feel free to do that if you wish. The name is spelled Tsam. Have a nice day.

I bet the CSR got a good laugh when he reported me. lol

My friend has been in the process of trying to get rid of the bulk of his pets because he's dropping Master Creature Handler in favor of picking up a tree in something else, because he got tired of being completely ineffectual. So for the past two weeks he's been in Coronet trying to give the pets away to younger creature handlers, with some success. He's also naturally been getting a lot of tells by people looking for training, which is somewhat new to him because usually he was out doing stuff.
Now, in one case it was the opposite of what you posted above, it was a belligerent BE (non-master) trying to insist to him that he should buy his pet.
Looking at your first conversation, I can offer some light conjecture. The pet you describe, with 5k ham at cl 11, sounds to me like it could be one of those pets that would be targetted by (whenever it's coming) the fix for pets way outside of their level. If I had been that CH, I most certainly would have told you I didn't want it, because I had a comparable pet at the appropriate level. Not to defend his subsequent rudeness, but my guess is that he felt you were trying to push an invalid pet on him, and he didn't want any part of it. I mean, not to get all in your face about it, but I do consider it fairly rude when people send me a tell asking me if I want to buy something. It's one thing to stand in Corellia and shout/auction/whathaveyou your stuff, but I'd probably respond negatively to someone who sends me a tell asking if I want to buy his thing. So the guy was probably just being defensive because he thought you were trying to rip him off. Whether that's the case or not is another story. It's probably just a perception thing.
My favorite story that my friend told me was why he decided not to use the transfer command anymore. A guy gave hima pet to train which was growing and too young to be a mount. My brother trained him in all the commands the guy asked for, and then said, "This pet is too small to be mounted, he needs to be at least 3/5ths grown." And gave him back to him. The guy first said, "Well, then give it back" to which my friend replied, "I did. It's in your datapad. I gave it to the transfer command." The guy said "Ok". Then he took it out, said, "He's not a mount." and used the transfer command to give it back to my friend. (Which, IMO, is a seperate subject, and one ripe with griefing--there is no way to stop the transfer command from going through). My friend, who was in the middle of trying to train someone else's pets at the time, patiently said, "Your pet isn't big enough to mount, yet. Wait a day or two, and then he should be large enough, and then I or anyone else can train him to mount. Right now, we cannot. Now please let me train this other person's pets." And transferred the pet back again.
Then my friend's girlfriend needed him for something so he politely told the person for whom he had been training that he had to go AFK, gave back the pets, and went AFK. Well, suffice it to say, while my friend was AFK, this guy transferred the mount -back- to my friend, and was now running around Corellia shouting that my friend had "stolen" his pet, and that if he didn't give it back immediately, he'd report it to a CSR and get him banned.
Since then, despite requests, he won't teach the transfer command to any pet, because it's so easily useful for griefing.
(As I think about it, I'm probably going to post this entire encounter to the CH thread, in case this never happened to anyone else.)
