I came to a grim realization on Corbantis the other day...
OK, I generally harvest my own meat for tissues and about a week ago we had some really nice Yavin Carnivore out-I harvested about 40k, enough for two runs of stuff, wanted to buy more from a ranger, but guess what?
They all wanted 100 cpu for it!!
Now, judging from what I read on this board, I'm a pretty expensive BE-32.5k/37.5k/45k per cratefor the chef tissues, and 55-60k per crate on the tailor stuff, but I can make MORE money selling the good meat I harvest than selling the tissues!
So to sum up, BE's on all servers, start jacking up your tissue prices-trust me, if the chefs are able to pay 100 cpu for meat, they can afford to give us a few thousand credits more-after all, without our stuff, theirs wont sell either!

speaking as a tailor on bria, IF I can actually find tissues for sale I expect to pay at the very minimum 100k per crate, and 150k or more isn't uncommon. (for good tissues, +16 or higher)

WOW! I'm Selling the wrong tissues!
when there is a good shift of meat I expect to pay at least (notice the underline) 75 cpu. that cost is carried forward to the customer....

Don't get too excited though............
The "answer" for many chefs on my own server (and to a lesser extent, tailors) has been to become a BE themselves.
(I don't blame the chefs for this BTW - any decent chef will need to ensure a steady supply ofaddatives and the only way to do that absolutely reliably is to produce them for thenemselves).
I recently auctioned off some nice meat (20K of it) and flora (25K of it)vs. a run of +87 BSN's (an either/or proposition). The meat and flora went eventually - to chefs who were making the resources intoBSN's. No bids on the BSN's - even derisory ones, and given what the resources went for thebreak-even price on BSN's produced would have been 50k/crate.
My server has a seriously screwed up ecomony though - you may be luckier on your own server.

You aren't looking in the right place. My 3 vendors are constantly stocked with tissues of that caliber. Look for Araya BE on the map near Coronet, Theed, and Twilight, Rori. I am listed under pets/pet supplies.

I organize guild hunts with any guildies who wanna go. We hit whatever drops the meat I need and then I pay them 10cpu (plus a bit to make it a round number) I get lots of great meat this way. I also make free pets for all the CH's and my artisian is open to anyone who needs it, put harvesters down for the weaponsmith (no charge) and all sorts of little favors everyone needs.
I'm frustrated though, I've had 6 full runs of BSN's on my vendor for a long time and I cant get a sale. I'm almost too burnt out about it to even bother making more. They aren't bad BSN's either 2 are 83, 3 are 85, and 1 is even 87... I priced 1.5mil, 1.6mil, 1.7mil... respectivly. I just don't know what to do next.
Making friends with CH's might help with finding meat gatherers, CH's love free pets and pet stims
The younger (broker) CH's are best, they still like CH and need new pets every few boxes.

Yea, I don't agree with that. I think it's been quite some time since you've been a tailor right? because the Bria market has changed a lot. Actually prices have been very depressed for all tissues thanks to some ultra-undercutters (who were charging well under 20k/crate for high quality stuff)and only now after some notable departures *ahem* are prices starting to get into what I'd call a "reasonable" level again. But in any case, the BE's that I'm familiar with on Bria, including myself, charge around half that figure. Go figure because Bria is more expensive than other servers in just about everything but BE things.
