Idont have the screen shots, or the animals anymore i think, but here is what i found.

I took vexed voritor dna, high resists and no armor, and started trying to work amorinto it.

I eventually got down to 2 animals:

cl17;9/8/6KHAM ar0;[email protected]*.2

cl18;9/8/7KHAM ar1;[email protected]*.2

resists were the same and attack were the same, cause it was all pure breed.

so either AR1 costs 1CL rating, or it isnt figured in at all.

The really odd thing though is if you use any kind of bugged dna to start getting the CL near 10 then as soon as you add armor you gain 10 CL ratings. However if you hit 49% effectiveness for resistances it stays under CL10 when your on second gen. I dunno, maybe you just found yet another bug or something Wouldn't surprize me at this point considering how baddly the clone CL calculations have been screwed up by this half-arsed attempt which took 3 months to develop. I sometimes do think that Keldarin did actually write it all in those last 2 weeks since we did literally see it go from not working at all (unable to produce templates) to what we have no in that space of time.

I find the final CL to be very unpredictable. I can have two pets, one with better end stats and a lower CL and another higher CL that is no where near as good. I think a big problem is in the experimentation. There are a lot of numbers there and if you crit one of the more meaningless ones, you can get a lower CL yet great end stats. I am having a hell of a time figuring out what level a pet will be by the numbers in the dna template. It really follows no patern that I can see.

Try looking for some linearity with the CL from the dna you put in factor in the resists, since you have 8 damage types which account for around 50% of the CL of the dna then technically for every resist that is under effectiveness and not a vulnerability or special protection then you can subtract 6.25% from what the CL should be to determine what is actually is recognised by the cloning system.

I just started on BE before the patch came down, since from what I was reading it looked like they were finally going to fix the class. It seemed a good match for me as a CH and the ability to produce tissues for enhanced clothing and new pets for my PA mates would let me give something back to the folks I play with.

I'm starting to get more and more requests for pets from my friends and, so far, I've been refusing to make any for them. Regardless of bugged DNA, it's become completely clear that the calculation of CL for BE made pets is severely out of whack. I've just been telling people about the problems and have said I don't want to make them pets that will likely have their CL drastically changed in the coming weeks.
