Bio engineer is quite a special profession when it comes to the skills needed for novice. Bio engineer goes well with many other professions, but also, we need many other professions to work. Why don't we share them? There are lots of possibilites.

Well I have three templates that all revolve around my Bio-Engineer

1st Mater Bio-Engineer/Master Creature Handler/Ranger 0030

2nd Master Artisan/Master Tailor/Master Chef/Merchant 3440

3rd Teras Kasi Master/Master Doctor/Scout 1000

I enjoy my pets in fact when making my first character actually got MCH before MBE and some or the ranger tracking line always comes in handy when looking for something to sample.

Master BE, Master Medic, Marksman 0/4/0/0 (pistols for damage to back up pets), CH 0/3/1/4 (most of the useful commands, including training mounts, 2 pets out, 12 stored pets to allow for having "demo" pets pre-trained and grown)

I'm most often group healer and use my pets to "pull" for a group, as well as being pretty self sufficient when hunting solo with my pets.

Hey thanks Akelan, I wanted to pick up some CH but was totally unsure which skills, thats a great CH template for a BE IMHO

My template is a bit more all over the place, but here goes.

Artisan 0/03/1 (for 1 vendor and average surveying skill)

Marksman 4/0/0/0 (for Rifleman)

Medic 0/01/4 (for stim b's hehe and BE of course)

Scout 4/0/4/0 (for BE & CH)

Master Bio-Engineer

Creature Handler 0/3/1/4 (same reasons as above

Rifleman 0/04/0 (For the nice shots and so I can use my DXR-6 )

I'd like to pick up more skills but thats already stretched to the limit lmao. Ah well, what can you do I've already gone beyond that with some skills, like I'm a Master Artisan, have 3 skills in Merchant etc, but I'll just drop them as I need the points.

Fix the forums so they work properly with Firefox! PLEASE!

I got MCH before I went back into BE and made master. Recently I've started giving up CH for TK (3/4/4/2 so far). I've gone MS and novice Ranger in between.

I moved to Corellia I have no vendor and I don't know the coords to my house, but it doesn't really matter cause all my pets are in the tool box, I may have some in space, but that doesn't really concern you either.

MCH Cause I wanted too

MBECause my blue cube told me too, but I like will keep untill have sufficient pets in Storage, plus love stabbing things to death with needles

Merch (3-0-0-1) Get my vendor on map, and extra vendor/ sign on door step (always wanted one)

And the subs that are necessary for the above, nothing more.

Was pistoleer 0-0-3-1 which was great, but needed stupid vendor to sell pets, since I couldn't work a deal with a merchant, mostly because I couldn't get one to talk to me, not becuase couldn't come to agreement.

Not being able to shoot stuff is killing me! Man I can't wait until publish 10 so I can see how many boxes I have and decide what to scrap or if I should just start over.

From previous post titled"MCH & MBE?":

My character is: MCH (4040 Scout), MBE (0014Medic) &0400 Carbineer (0040 Marksman)

It works well for me, and I can do up to +3k damage with a Laser Carbine using "Crippling Strike"(?) special(too bad it does random HAM) while my pet(s) tanks for me. I can hunt and harvest any meats I need and I'm fairly successful in sampling DNA from the higher level mobs (MRs, BMBQs, Arachne Widows and so on) with the level of Mask Scent (along with +25 Mask Scent clothing) that I get from Scout. I use both PetStims and StimPacks to heal my pet(s) after a fight to speed up recovery. And I always get Master Doc buffs when going hunting or sampling.
