Thread: Resists round DOWN

Today, after many days of work and many generational sampling, I found out that resists do not round up in the calculation. I had achieved 99% stun resistance, and in an attempt to bump it up to 100%,I failed. By using the formula for resists, a DNA combine with:


100%

100%

100%

100%

99%


Would come out to about 99.75% stun resistance. This number remained 99%resistance. This is just a warning to other BE's and possibly a small rant as well...

Its just the way computers work, by default if a number is an integer value and is not actually an integer it will round down unless you tell it to round up. If you think about it the way humans round up isnt very intuitive of efficient. It would be much simpler and save brain power to be consistant and either do it one way or the other.
