Remember, I'm not a real Bio-Engineer. I just play one on your monitor.

Forums over all have been very slow. The moderation has become so strict it is almost adversarial. It is difficult at times to determine whether or not a person is making a discussion point or is flaming. A person on my galaxy forum created multiple threads on the same day and was banned for trolling.

Regardless, the BE forum is typically slow. The profession has not had any changes or updates in a very long time. Most topics have been brought up many times and discussed in minutia. All any new BE forum participant with a question need do is browse the forum and will surely find the answer in short order. Not to mention NancyJ did an excellent job with her sticky threads.

"Petitions and ranting about someone getting banned/suspended will just have the same happen to you, so don't bother.

If you have any questions about why your thread was locked and/or removed see this thread before posting again."

People asked to have our forum mate unbanned. This was the response from the moderator. The "this thread" clicky was to the forum guidelines.

It may indirectly be a reason other profession forums tend to be slower lately. If you get banned on your galaxy forum you're banned from all forums. I don't know if this is the case why the BE forum has been slow but it is a possibility.

On a side note, it is unbelievable a moderator would make such a statement. Not surprising but unbelievable all the same.
