I gather this was only in the Physique slot?

Ok i tried to duplicate this experiment and got a few weird results. And yes im only concentrating on the physique attribute. I made a new pet with the same method and after experimenting i only ended up just shy of the 500 fortitude. I cant remember of the top of my head but it was something like 496. Well i created this guy and sampled him a few times. He of course had no armor which i expected but the dna samples i took from him all had over 500 hard/fortitude. They still read as having no armor. welli only got 4 of these samples so i combined those 4 with one more that was almost 500 fortitude. The first combine was below 500 and no armor but after experimentation it broke the 500 mark and presto, light armor. It further shows that none of the samples have to have armor but im just confused on the 520 fortitude samples with no armor.

from what ive been able to get. the physical stat in experimentation has to be at bout 60% or higher to get light armor. now im trying to get higher to medium. but i cant get close enough to a kimo to samp it.

Well its not the percentage of the experimentatin that gives armor it is only determined by the hardiness and fortitude being 500 or greater. Although someone posted that hardiness doens even matter and only fortitude does but i have not been able to test this yet. The percent of experimentation depends on the fortitude of the samples used. You need higher percentage with lower fortitude samples and vice versa.

I dont think anything with medium armor is even within our sampling range. Not 100% but pretty sure.

I was a little bored today and though what the heck ill try to figure something out about ths system. Ive noticed that everytime you sample a wild creature with light armor the hardiness and fortitude are ALWAYS above 500. or at least ive never seen different. And when theres no armor, you guessed it both stats are not above 500. So i began to wonder. Is this always true. I looked around for some dna samples that had very close to 500 in both slots wihtout going over. I couldnt find any but it turns out that one of my pets that i sampled had very close in all samples. Luckily i got 5 samples out efore it died on me. The stats were roughly 550/475 on the hardiness and fortitude. As you would expect the creature did not have armor and neither did any of the samples. When i combined the samples they came out both less than 500. After experimentatin i got 630/500. close call there. Well what do you expect happened. You guessed it. The template had light armor. So i successfully got light armor from 5 samples that had no armor. This definately proves the 500/500 for armor rule but i think it also shows that that is the only prerequisite for armor.

Think outside the box, what if you CAN get into the medium armor range, even without medium armor creatures?
