Greetings,

While it’s far from some of the breath-taking pets others have posted here in the forums, I’ve created afairly good pet without using any of the “dubious DNA” that many are complaining about. I’m now on the 19th generation of creature, and was able to make:

Level: 13
Health: 8.2k
Action: 7.8k
Mind: 5.4k
Kinetic: 29
Energy: 29
Blast: 19
Others: Not much / Vulnerable
Damage: Horrible
Special: #1 None, #2 Stunning Strike, Not Ranged

I suspect with just another generation or two, Ill be able to get him down to level 10, and make him my mount (it’s a tan bol skin). Here’s what I’ve been doing, sorry it’s not more exact ...

1st Generation:
Desert Razorback, Average, all slots except
Mountain Wort, Below Average, Psyche
Result: Similar HAMs, Resists around 20, level 17, ranged

2nd Generation:
Desert Razorback, Below or Average, all slots except
Mountain Wort, Below Average, Aggression
Pre-Generation Clone, Psyche
Result: Similar HAMs, Resists around 20, level 19, Ranged, Dizzy Special

I messed around with the Razorbacks, Warts, and Clones until around Generation 11. The critter was hanging around level 15, so I needed it lower, and I really wanted some better resists. That’s when I headed to Dartomire, as I heard Brakasets had descent Kinetic and Energy.

11th (or 12th) Generation:
Desert Razorback, Below or Average, Physique and Prowl
Pre-Generation Clone, Psyche
Male/Female Brakaset, Average, Mental and Aggression
This is where I really started to make some progress.
Results: Similar HAMs, Resists in the high 20s, Level 16, Not Ranged, Stun Special

12th (or 13th) Generation:
I got lucky, and was able to get more than one sample from my previous clone. I wish I could do that again!
Desert Razorback, Below or Average, Physique
Pre-Generation Clone, Psyche and Mental
Male/Female Brakaset, Average, Prowl Aggression
Results: Similar HAMs, Resists in the high 20s, Level 15, Not Ranged, Stun Special

I’ve continued on with the Brakaset DNA, and tried fruitlessly to get more than one sample from my previous clone. They were coming out nearly identical to the generation previous. I suspect as soon as I can manage more than one sample, Ill be able to take this little guy down to level 10. At that point I would like to lose a little Health to boost Mind, and then I’m done!

I just wanted to show that with a lot of hard work (going on two days now) you can make these fancy high-HAM, low-CL pets without using any of the “cheat” DNA. Granted it doesn’t have armor and 60% resists, but I’m sure it will still make for one nice ride. And I’m not even Master BE yet - only 4/1/3/4!

Question: Do you regen one peice of DNa or do you make multiple lines of DNA Ie 25 Clones become 5, 5 become 1 etc etc etc. Or do you use the DNA in only one slot on the next clone you make IE one super experimented clone dna added with 4 natural clones everytime?

Greetings,

I would love to be able to make five First Gen clones, to turn into a single Second Gen clone, however that is beyond my skill and ability. In all the generations above, I was only able to get a single sample (other than once or twice as I pointed out) from the clone, which was then used in the next generation. The two times I was able to get more than one sample, the next generation (made with the multi-samples from its predeaseor) were of much higher 'quality' and made much more progress in the right dirrections.

Other than those few times, I would take the clone DNA along with four wild samples (those razor backs are really nice for sampling EXP, btw) to mix in the batch, slowly but surely moving the HAMs, and resists where I want them.
