Thread: Your thoughts on how CL level is calculated
Im having some real problems controling the Dificulty level. Has anyone figured out how to determine what the finnal cl level is going to be from the dna template?
I'm trying to produce some cool non ch pets and I keep going over lev 10 or falling way short in the lev 5 and 6 area.
Your thoughts on which stats are being used to calculate ch level would be appritiated.
I'm not sure how to calculate it, but I have noticed some weird things. The resists make a big difference in the levels. I made two creatures and the only real difference between them was 80% Cold and Heat Resists. The one the was 80% in these turned out level 64 and the one that was Vulnerable was level 40!
I personally think the Devs messed up and didn't weight certain resists. If you have a pet with 80% Cold and one with 80% Kinetic, which would you rather have? Many of the resists are meaningless really, while other are more desired.
Basically if you want to lower the CL, just boost the Resist you like and make the rest Vulnerable. Merek Harvester DNA for example works great to get level 40 pets, with the fighting effectiveness of a level 55.
I've made pets with 60% kinetic 10k hams 80% heat/cold/electricity damage in the 500s that came out lvl 22.
I've made other pets with almost identical stats that came out lvl 55.
If i use dna that has any type of area effect attack the levels always seem to come out high, even thought the attacks dont make it to the final creature.
After several cross breeding/resampling attempts last night
I have given up trying to figure out how CL is calculated off of original samples.
Picture this:
Picket plains walker = A
Picket = B
Bol = C
Savage Quenker = D
A/A/D/B/C
Came out CL 13: 3k/3k/2k something like 28% or 30% kinetic and others
Sampled the result, and plugged it into
A/A/clone/b/b = CL 13: 4k/3k/3k 26% kinetic or some such(kept the ranged attack)
sampled, plugged into
a/clone/clone/b/b = CL 13: 5k/3k/2k 26% kinetic(**edit**?)
At taht point I went crazy ![]()
