I attained Master Bio today and thinking to myself that i finally get to make the good stuff, went out and sampled some voritors on dantooine and mixed it with some thunes, and a sevort. ( sorry if this doesn't sound too dna Bio scientific ).

Anyways some guy started messaging me for a level 25 graul. As soon as I combined the above formula, to my amazment I got a level 25 graul. So I sold it to him. He said as a Creature Handler he could call a level 25 pet, yet when he tried to call this one, it wouldn't let him.

Ok so what gives? Is this one of these creatures that is bugged? If so, how do u ever manage to sell anything without the risk that your pet isn't going to work? Are there pre - set formulas that i should be following, or was this guy just screwing with me?

I figure there are more qualified BE's out there than someone who has spent 10 days in the profession.

Help me Bio-Engineers...you are my only hope.

The Graul is and agressive skin so your CH didn't have the necissary skills to call/tame an agressive pet. CH 2 0 0 0 is required to use an agressive skin.

Sell him some Active Tranquilizers to put have made into clothes and boost his skill. Even without a natural +Tame Vicious ranking, the bonus will allow a CH to use such pets if high enough.

+12-13 should be sufficient in this case, but a few more just to make sure wouldn't hurt. As a master I still find my +25 set of clothes a major help. Lower level handlers will find them invaluable for a variety of reasons.

Actually, thiswont work if his taming line is less than 2. If you don't have the skill to begin with, putting on clothes with the skill won't give it to you. Now, if he does have at least 2 in the taming tree, then this should work.

Unless it has changed in the last few patches, it does work. I have helped many newbies be able to call and tame their low level aggressive pets in this way.

Aggressive pets first check against being a handler or not. If that passes, then it checks that the skill level is high enough to qualify for taming, which is roughly 12-13 points below what the CL is. Wearing +25 clothes will boost almost every handler high enough to meat this requirement within that of their max CL. It never checks that the handler has the Tame Vicious skill innately.

Yes this does work. I just made my Novice CH some CH taming clothes and he is able to tame aggressive animals

I'd recommend reading the FAQ above. In it, you will learn that the reason why your creature came out CL 25 is not because your formula necessarily yields a CL 25 powered pet, but it is actually because the skin that you chose (Graul) can have no lower CL than 25. So in reality, you probably sold your customer a very underpowered pet for the CL.

Secondly, in the same list, you will see that Graul is an agressive skin (as others have pointed out). In that same list you will see all other creatures that share that trait. In the future, this is something that you have to consider very carefully when making a pet.
