I had a thought and an idea. Everyone talks about getting good quality meat and how hard it is. Since we are BE's (Well I am as of last night 
), why shouldn't we be able to BE creatures with great meat and simply breed them soley for it? I mean it wouldn't be as easy as going out and killing Rancor's with guild mates, but it would be more convienient.

Think about being able to breed a bunch of Womp Rats with 2900 overall points in OQ/PE/FL and give you 250 units of meat at the same time. 
The thought comes to mind well. We could even do the same for skin and bone. Would take some engineering to make them better for it. Think of it as BE-Farming.

What I can hear the developers saying about that is that they like how crafters have to depend on hunters to get their on the hoof organics (meat, milk, eggs). Having said that as a hunter and a crafter I sure would like the drops to be larger.
Getting avian meat on lok where the largest bird is a whopping lvl 18 with 30-50 meat is a pain in the behind.

avian on corillia is pretty hellacious... fRasps give something like 2 meat per kill.. carions give more but you can't get missions for these birdies, so unless your a ranger it can be difficult..

It seemed to me that the old handbook discussed us using our BE skills to improve flora harvests, etc. (all the things that REAL BioEngineers work on) and I think your idea holds great merit. Regrettably, the Farmer profession was dropped, so this may only work as a "wouldn't it be nice if-"
But I for one second your idea to boost organic resources (make a woolier peko! make Corn that never decays- oh, wait, that's corn anyways...)

Lol, rori has to be the worst - I harvested 6000 units over a weekend and though I would go insane (hmmm, maybe I did).
