I made this pet last weekend and it never really occured to me that it might be an "Illegal" pet till I saw it standing over in the corner this morning. What is the consensus? Is it useable or should it be just for display??

By the way, the recepie for this was posted here a couple of weeks ago. It was Voritor dasher, VD, Nightspider, NS,NS... but I did no experementation on this one. I did not try to repeat the results as this was my first attempt at the recepie and I wanted to see the low level numbers before experementation.

a pet is 'legal' if it is tameable - you cant use an illegal pet.
Whether or not it is the result of a bug or is within the intended limites of the system is unknown, I'm not gonna try to get every combination validated but these combos seem reasonable given the power of the current droids.

Nice non CH pet... ersioursly that thing is balanced.... if not weak... A combat droid has same HAMs, 20-40% resist to all and can deal out a lot more dmg
The big thing about the 'illegal' pets is that they have super high kinetic resist and really high ham.... but that is a good pet, and nice recipie... which I may be trying tonight lol

I have only seen a couple of the droids so I didn't have a lot to compare to. You make a good point though in that Combat Droids and Non CH Pets should be balanced against each other. Unfortunatly reactionary decisions have made that somewhat out of kilter.

I don't know too much about droids myself. Can acombat driod and a lvl 10 pet be called at the same time for a non-ch character? Can a person use both of them in combat?

Is it overpowered for a non-ch pet? no
Will it get hit by the "illegal pet" check? perhaps
I've seen much much weaker pets than this get tripped up by the check, so it's a total crap shoot.

Therein is the frustrating part of this profession. I don;t even really try to make them anymore unless a guildmate really twists my arm!
