Does anyone have a good recipe and/or ideas for some decent CL19 critters?

I prefer tanks; specials aren't too important. High HAM and okay resists would be nice.

I've been toying with various DNA and haven't had any luck yet. I've not got the knack yet of multi-generational pets, so I'd prefer to avoid that. Thanks,

Get some merek harvestor DNA and mix that with some lesser stuff, and you'll have a good chance for making a decent tank.

Take the posted/discussed formula for the CL 10 "monster pets" - the 2 generation combine that makes a pet with a lot of resists and then uses several samples of this pet with some from another well known source we use because of its high kinetic.

(I am not posting details of the recipe, there's enough people spamming these at starports already.)

Select your samples for high fortitude, ESPECIALLY the first pet you make for resampling, but also very importantly the ones youharvest for the second combine. The recipe often comes close to the 500 fortitude needed for armor but falls a couple of points short. If you select carefully with the fortitude in mind, you will JUST sneak over the 500 fortitude you need for light armor.

BINGO - a CL 18, with light armor and 59 or 60% kinetic, near if not over 10K health, with a 130-150 damage range and quite often one or two useful specials (Intimidation and dizzy are common results). An entirely "acceptable" creature for stats/CL and a very useful pet at the low end of CH.

i would suggest using boar wolf dna and perhaps some lower-lvlarachne or blurrg dna for the low critter to resample

you could make a very decent lvl 20 pet with around 7k health using just board wolf dna so with the merek you should do really well

So I just goofed around with the DNA I had (a lot of voritors and some craggy bolmas) and eventually ended up with this:

H: 4300

A: 3500

M: 3800

Kinetic: 42

Energy: 43

SA1: Crippling Strike

SA2: Stunning Strike

The HAM is rather low, but the Kinetic and Energy resists are pretty high. Does this look like a decent cl19 pet?

Now for more stupid person questions (there's no such thing as a stupid question; there are, however, stupid people):

1) Are the resists a direct % reduction in the damage? E.g. If someone hit the above pet with a 100 point energy attack, its resist would lower it by 43 points down to 57? If that's true, then what the heck does "light armor" do?

2) What is 'Crippling Strike?'

Thanks,

your assumption is correct, and with armor, it will reduce is to 18 dmg

18 or 29? 100*.5*.57=28.5

it's a posture down attack (standing to kneeling/kneeling to prone)
