I was thinking
Master Bio-Engineer
Master CH
Master Scout
Medic 4/1/0/4
this lets me heal, create pets and train them. Any suggestions ?

I am MBE/ MCH, but needed vendor, which makes it tough to have combat skills, which you seem to be trading for Scout & Med skills. I would also suggest med 1-0-4-4 so you can use stim E's on your pets too.
I am MBE/MCH/REB so not having any combat skill makes being factioned dangerous. The scanning crews are now turning me overt, so if I am to survive I will need combat skills... hence I have droped merchant, and will soon drop artisan for Fencer. I am only 0-0-4-0 Brawler and already doing 900pts of dmg. And I will be picking up all the specials in fencer that I use on my pets, So I may change styles a bit.

If you need a combat profession the best bang for your skill points is swordsman 0,4,0,4. This grants you the scythe weapon cert and the power hammer cert that allows you to deal high blast / kinetic mind damage with Head Hit 3 for a total of 63 skill points. Fencer has some great defense mods, butlow offense capabilities.

Maybe not uber in combat (as pets are mostly used as tanks). But it sounds fun. Master scout (sample mutant rancors) and then be able to use them
. You'll be a good tank in hunting groups.
If I personally would choose not to pick up 'combat' skills I would be mch mbe and merchant 3001 or 4000. I've made a serious try to sell pets on the street and it doesn't work that good

MBE / MCH would be a lot of fun if you only have one account. That's the way I would probably go.
I'm fortunate to have 3 accounts and I try to develop them to compliment each other.
Main Hunter: Damun is a Master Rifleman and soon a Master CH. With this combo, I have been able to take on nearly anything and bring them down easily.. and without armor. Remaining points are in Medic so I can use Stim C's.
Evyl is my Master BE and will soon be adding Master Ranger. My G/F is working up the Ranger tree and when we go DNA sampling together, she walks through stuff I still have to give a wide berth to. And with her tracking ability, we save a lot of time looking for nice targets. When I go out solo, it's starting to feel like I'm blindfolded.
Then Rikk... he's my Weaponsmith, Master Artisanand soon to be Chef. He also is moving up the Master Merchant tree to be able to place vendors for Evyl and some of my G/F's artisans.
So all aspects of BE and creatures are covered: Harvesting, Crafting, Taming and Selling.

I have recently discovered that when I get scanned I don't just get a TEF, I get Tagged a Rebel, and when the TEF runs out, I am then OVERT! I figured this out by waiting for the TEF to drop, went in to Bestine, Saw a red dot on the Radar and ignored it becuase I figured it was a stupid spice fiend, nope was a IMP, he came to check me out though. And before I knew it there were 5. needless to say it was a quick death, but then they killed the pets just for sport, had I realized I was OVERT, I could have stored the pets, and just taken the hit myself.
Anyway, if I had a combat of anykind, I could take someone who isn't buffed, My pet specials will start it off, and I can finsih them. nobody is much of a fighter when they are blind, intimidated, stuned, and dizy.
