Thread: Help for a BE Noob
you made it much easier for me to even try to become a BE. Currently my biggest problem is knowing what level creature I am going to make. Is their anyone out there who can help me on the "recipes" part of BE? I have made a few very succesful pets...but have no idea as to what makes them so..other than CH's telling me "oooh nice". I just would like to know how level is determined so I can make useful pets for different level folks. Thank you for your time and effort.There's a level calculator floating about that's somewhat accurate. But the exact formula isn't really known. That said....it is accepted that power is the biggest factor on level, then hardiness, then dex (I think, or endurance...I forget). There is a post on predicting pet level that you can find some work in.
One thing I want to point out here tho is that I'm starting to think that the level factor of something like power is affected by other stats due to how much power changes things at high levels and how little at lower levels. My latest theory is that Hardiness and Power are tied in a way so that power has a greater effect as hardiness increases, but might also have a tie in with dex. I think they are notcontributing to level seperatelybut are intertwined. But there are of course several theories right now.
Also be sure to keep notes on what you do. And the stuff in the FAQ on pet creation should help to get you started.
I would be more than pleased if someone else was interested in refining the pet level calculation
