Hi all,

I'm interested in getting some feedback before I actually start coding the next version of BE Calc to add tissues.

Basically, I'll be adding thecost of the resources up (you'll stick the cost of those in for your server price)to work out the base cost and thenyou'llhave a choicebetweentwo systems:

2 times cost, 3times cost.

or

20%, 30%, 40%, 50% added to cost.

I tossed around the idea of including a third system that was based on the result (say Broad Spectrum Nutrients would be 18 x bonus x 25 for a crate), but decided that'd be a lot of work for something i'm not getting paid to do. If enough people feel it's really, really important to add it I'll think about it;o)

Pet stims will be power x charges /"factor".

I've yet to decide on Vit packs as I don't really sell them, so I haven't really worked out a pricing scheme for them.

I'm fairly happy with the way the spreadsheet is working for it all, so from there it's just a matter of writing it up in C++.

If anyone would like to offer any suggestions please pipe up now.

Please limitthe suggestionsto tissues though.Version 3.0 will be the creature calc addon and while Sumorex's calculations are very close,I'm going to hold off for a while in the hope that A. they can be tightened up a bit more and B. a formula for clone level can be worked out.

I've been using your tool for a few versions now and it's pricing seems pretty fair to me. The addition of other BE products would only make it that much more cool so I'd say add them in if it's not so much work as to no longer be fun for you. For most chef tissue pricing I use 5 times number for harvestor collectable resources and 15 time number for hand collected ones. From what I've read my pricing using this method seems to be about 2/3rds of what BEs are selling them for on Naritus.

That would be a great addition to it. To be able to get the cost at the fingertip would be GREAT.

Thanks,

Hey Meroc, I just extolled your qualities to the Tarq community. I installed your BE pricing calculator today and I think it's great. I would love all of my server to use it in order to set a universal pricing sheme.

Cheers.

Unless your making your pets out of yard trash then this is a very acceptable price I would say. I personally have left the non-ch market till the Devs get it fixed get tired of making pets to have them uncallable and not knowing where this limit is.

It is a little high for a pet made from, say, Kreetle DNA. For them I charge a flat 15000 and make them into mounts.

The 30k is more for the tailor made 2-3k HAM ones.

I would like to see the "regional issues" removed. I always have to change windows to US-region. Otherwise i get a message like "1.00 is not a valid floating point value".

I charge a base price of 30k for lvl 10 pets with a HAM of 2k+, which I sell as mounts. I've had a couple of people tell me the price is too high, but I've had several more almost rip them out of my hands. Considering the amount of effort to get to MBE, the time required to gather the appropriate DNA, the wastage due to coming in over lvl 10, and the other resources required, it seems a fair price to me.

I'll drop the price if the pet comes in too low. On the other hand, once I get to MCH, I'll train them as mounts myself and probably increase the price by 5k

Wow, for pets I have been charging based on the amount of HAM. Therefore 5k HAM, 5k credits. I charge more if the DNA was difficult to obtain or there are really nice specials or really high kinetics. I haven't sold the rest of the stuff. I have been charging a bit more for L9/10s just because they are so difficult to make for me. Im fairly new at this, I have been a Master BE for only about a week. Im not sure if I will charge more in the future, but we will see. It is interesting to see everyones prices. Are people really paying these amounts for these pets?
