Thread: Sampling Help!!!!

I am a master Wookie BE on Kettemoor and cannot successfully sample from a mutant rancor. I am currently wearing two +14 BE enhanced cloths for mask scent and am even using a beer that masks scent (total +45). On the rare occasion I can even get close to a mutant rancor, I have never successfully sampled...and death ensues.
Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to warm my probe first?

I spent 2 hours on Dath last night and 3 hourstonight and was able to harvest a whopping8 samples from the mutants. Mask scent was breaking constantly and when I was able to get close enough I was lucky to get a viable sample once every 15-20 attempts. Before publish 7 I thought I remembered averaging between 5-10 an hour.Now it is just a lesson in frustration.

Perhaps they are trying to make the MR DNA a lot more difficult to get, thus making the creatures more desireable when we make them. Dunno, I don't understand the mechanics behind most things that get changed in this game.
Personally, I had a decent night. 6 samples in 45 minutes, and only the one death. Best I've ever had, since before I was lucky to get 3 in a 2 hour attempt, and died 3 times. I have a +127 to mask with my clothes, and Jawa Beer, but I keep hearing that you max at a +25 from enhancements. Would love to have that explained as to why it would do that, or how that figure was determined.

dunno, maybe is a lame answer but, did u try Master Ranger Dathomir camuflage?
