Thread: A few questions about Tissue resources

I'm currently trying to break into the Tissue business on Tempest. I'm mainly looking at doing Broad-Spectrum Nutrients and Intelligent Nanonutrients. How do you guys find the best resources on your servers? I had a good supply of high quality Piket milk along with corn that enabled me to do a 500 unit run of 84 power BSNs, but now the milk has changed, and I can't get the corn anymore. How do I go about looking for the best of the newest crop?
I would suggest the following, dedicate a minimum of 2 lots, I would do 4 until you build a stockpile, to flora harvesters. I suggest high capacity as they are actually pretty easy to place. Take up artisan and survey until you find a great flora resourse... like 2600+ combined flavor/pe/oq. Drop your harvesters on the highest concentration and leave them til it shifts, rinse and repeat. There is so much flora, and since its fairly generic for our use, you can usualy find something somewhere all the time with great stats.
For creature stuffs... its gonna be a toss up. I am master tkm, so I kill for meat, and can collect about 40k an hour on a good day. If you buy it, it will cost between 10 and 20cpu for average stuff, more for higher quality stuff.
What I have found though, is I can make power 82 BSN with using crappy, I mean under 1500 total stat meat and pretty decent flora... around 2200-2400 stats. I use double the flora, b/c its usually easier to find good flora and drop harvs and forget it than it is to get a ton of a good meat or other creature resource... And when something pretty decent shifts in meat wise in my hunting grounds (almost exclusively Dath) I spend tons of time there hunting.... and gather a huge stockpile of meat.
Actually, I was able to collect the milk faster than I could have collected meat. I would yield around 100 units of milk per Piket without killing them, whereas I'd only get up to 90 units of meat, after killing them...
Thanks for the link to that site, I'll check it out...
