Ok i have a pretty simple newbie question. I'm thinking about becoming a BE and i was wondering if you have to have CH skills to be able to use your creations, because if you do i have a lot of work to do.

Currently I am climbing the Pikeman tree and have Master CH. I'm starting to become boredwill killing creatures repeatedly,so I figured this profession would be fun, experimental and even profitable. I have a few basic noob questions that I'd like to ask you guys before I surrender all of my pike points so please go easy on me.
1. How much time is involved in making these creatures?
2. Are the resources for these creaturesobtained solely by myself or will I be searching for parts all over the galaxy?
3. Isthe professionprofitable?
I'm sure these questions can be answered quickly, but I'm at work and we're on like a 33.6 modem and pages open so damn slowly on this computer so I figured I'd just post this in hopes for some quick answers.
Thank you,

a: about 25 seconds, but you have to get 5 units of good dna to make a critter that takes time
2. Are the resources for these creaturesobtained solely by myself or will I be searching for parts all over the galaxy?
a: dna is collected by you solely, the meat and flora can be collected by any one, traveling all over the galaxy depending on what kinda dna you want
3. Isthe professionprofitable?
sold a non ch pet for 100 k you do the math

I'll give you an example: generally I make a dna trip to endor 2-3 times a week and spend 2-3 hours there. I'll generally come back with my backpack full of dna and I'll be able to make anywhere from half a dozen to a dozen creatures with that dna. Once you have the dna, creature making can still be somewhat time consuming (at least for me) as it's a matter of looking up previous combines, documenting results, re-sampling, throwing out mistakes, getting crit fails, and so forth.
2. Are the resources for these creaturesobtained solely by myself or will I be searching for parts all over the galaxy?
The latter. If you will be a creature making BE, you'll be making lots of trips to at least Dath, Endor, and Dant. If you want to do tissues (particularly tailor tissues) you'll more than likely have to go out and hunt very particular things for very particular meat/bone/hide that you'll need. I've had no luck at all buying anything other than dath carnivore meat.
3. Isthe professionprofitable?
It certainly is. I'd say that a BE makes money probably more quickly than many (tailor, DE, architect) and more slowly than others (chef, doctor, armorsmith, weaponsmith). But in the end, you can be fairly certain that any master of an advanced crafting profession who has been at it for a while will have many millions in their bank account.
