Im fairly new to the BE profession, so Im still trying to get a grip on how to make a good pet One thing that puzzels me: Does the quality of a DNA sample realy have any effect on the finished (first generation) pet? I have seen that lower quality DNA can have higher stats (hard and fort for example) then a higher quality DNA from the same type of creature. So is it better to use the high quality DNA with lower stats, or the lower quality DNA with higher stats?

DNA Quality matters most in regards to getting a DNA Sample from your BE'd Pet. If you have Average or less, when you make the pet, you will still make a similarly crafted animal, but if you try to resample it, you will only get the quality out that you put in and possible death on first sample.

If you use 5 average DNA samples, you will only resample an average as max. You might be able to pull two samples before the critter goes poof. However, if you make it with 5 Very High Quality, when you resample, you will get high quality and very high quality samples and may be able to pull 5 or more samples before the pet goes poof.

OK, that cleared up a few things (Ive been wondering about how many times I can sample a creatures I made before it joins the dodo). Thanks for the reply.

at sampeling 4 you can pull up to 5 samples be4 it goes poof. i did most of be prepatch and am redoin it now, i got most of my dna sampleing the first time resampeling the 400 kaddus i made =)

Read the Advanced BE guide. You will see that the quality of the DNa sample has a lot more to do with it then most people thing.
