True, but the original poster wanted to do both at the same time... I think. Typically though if you want to get the most out of it, the timing will be critical. Sampling goes fast and milking goes slow. When you milk, you start, you get 2 prompts saying "You continue to milk the creature", then the final one that says you were successful. After the second "you continue to milk the creature" start your DNA sample. that way, you should have the milk before the sample is done and/or the creature aggro's you.
My personal suggestion would be not to try and do both. Milk all the creatures in the lair first, then go and sample them. Sampling sometimes causes aggro and if you aggro the whole lair you'll either have to run or kill them, and that just wasted a possible milked creature.

Milking is based off your harvesting mod.
