Good luck!
Well, sampling a rancor for example will always give you a sample with the exact same resistances, the exact same spceials, and then the statistics it has for all the other stats will be bound by a range (like +- 10% or so). So this week and next week, a rancor will have the same resistances to kinetic, and armor, and whatever specials they have, but in a lair of rancors, there might be one with 10k HAM, another with 9.5k HAM, and another with 10.5K HAM, and similar differences in all their other statistics as well, and also the statistics will vary from sample to sample depending on the quality of the sample, so there is lots of variation that way. But from week to week, no, nothing changes like that.
As far as what planets to visit, that is up to you, but in general, the dna should roughly reflect the level of creature you are trying to make. So if someone wants a CL 10 pet, my guess is you'll be able to make that from stuff on any planet you happen to inhabit. But if somebody wants a CL 70 creature, it's unlikely that you'll find dna that is appropriate for that level of creature on say Corellia. Although I kinda miss the days that I was able to make a really mean rancor out of minor gubber, lol.

The question I have is on the DNA you can sample. Is it like harvesting Ore, where you have to chase it all over the galaxy and it changes every few days ? So for example today I might get the perfect stats off a Mutant Rancor, but next week it might come from a Burnie ?
I'm just wondering if it's worth the trouble and headache to go to the high end planets and sample DNA or if I should just gather everything I need off Dant.
I've read so many messages on this forum and other sites my eyes have glazed over. Read the FAQ's and such.. didn't really see anything specific to the questions I asked. Apologies if I over looked them, and links would be appreciated.
