I'm making a complete issues list cos I'm still working on the SoP and this is something I can get done much more quickly.

So here is the place to list all your issues with DNA Sampling, try to keep it to the point if you want to have a discussion about something - keep it in a separate thread please

I'm away for the weekend so try to behave while I'm gone

1. Resampling of high level creatures: try to resample, you get a failure and the pet is destroyed with no chance to resample - I think we should at least be given 1 sample from it before it is destroyed.

2. Personally - I think the failure rates for Master BEs is too high. I can fail to sample a MR up to 7 times before it agroes me. This can't be right - I agree that MR DNA should be difficult to get but I am a MASTER. Masters dont fail 7 times in a row at doing something. When was the last time a master weaponsmith got 7 critical failures in a row? Never.

Can't think of anymore atm - but may add some later.

I like having things that are very challenging to sample, so I don't want to see any change there, but what I'd primarily like to see is more variety. We have a real problem in that area. For creatures in the CL 70ish area we have like 3 creatures we can sample. For high kinetic armored pets, realistically we also have only 3-4 creatures to sample.

The high-end pet problem could be accomplished a number of ways. They could remove the cap (whether it's a hard cap or simply a practical cap) and make it possible (although difficult) to sample the CL 75-90 level creatures. But of course the ideal solution would be to add new critters in this CL range.

For the mid-level pets I don't see any solution other than adding more creatures that are armored and have 50%+ kinetic resists. Obviously the CH's would love this as well, particularly if such creatures had babies.

As far as the sampling process itself, from what we've been hearing over the last few months there seems to be a problem sampling the very lowest levelanimals at the novice level. I haven't experienced this myself, perhaps a recent novice can chime in here and add some color, but it sounds like a pretty big issue.

Something small but bothersome. When you hover your cursor over a DNA sample, it tells you what it is and what quality, but it doesn't tell you what creature. It would be a nice little fix to have the creature type listed in that little hover box. I know they can do it because when you hover over a resource, it not only gives you the basics like the name, condition, volume, and quantity, but also the resource type and resource class. It would make it easier when searching through bags of DNA to find one you just know you have without having to examine each and every one.

if possible, it would also be great to add the name of the creature afterwards in the name, e.g. "High Quality DNA Sample of a Worrt" or "High Quality DNA Sample (Worrt)"
