Thread: Career Change To BE or who to BE
Due to the departure from Universe my Guild MBE, my chef has been left high and dry. Guild tailors are also bemoaning their lack of BE items. Most MBEs are alternates in Gorath and they do not help other chefs in creation of nutrients schematics - as they do not answer to my tells and emails....
So now, my dilemma is whether to rework my TKM/MD character to provide for as a MBE or to rework my Chef character.
Anyone faced this problem before and can give me some needed pointers for me to move forward.

a TKM/doc is always useful... while a mediocre brawler isn't much use.
off the top of my head:
mChef, merchant 0404, artisan 0444, BioE 0404 (and scout 0040/medic 0004) would be servicable for most of your tissue needs, and would still retain survey skills, merchant skills, and chef mastery.
depending on your personal priorities, this template may be all you need...
note: I hate recommending less than BioE mastery, but it sounds like tissues 4 and engineering 4 are all you really need from the profession.

Hmmmm. I don't know. I don't think a BE supplying master chefs can do without the extra experimentation points. I suppose it depends on how lucky one is with amazing successes and how rigid the chefs' requirements are for supplements.

I'd do this...
Master Chef, Master BE, Merchant 0001, Artisan 0442, Scout 0040, Medic 0004.
You have Master BE now. You sacrifice the Planet Vendor recognition (not that big of a deal) but still have a Vendor Limit of 1125 items. You have sufficient survey skills.
You'd be losing some merchant abilities and surveying abilities but those are really only second nature to both your mainprofessions. Master BE is worth it to sacrifice some "support" skills.
