Thread: Faster getaway

I'm a newbie 0030 Bio Engineer, but I've found that a handy trick I learned in my days as a CH also comes in handy when sampling critters. Instead of using the default /sampleDNA hotkey, create a hotkey macro with the following lines:
/peace;
/sampleDNA;
/say Jedi Death Grip!
The peace command was used in CH while taming to keep from auto attacking the babies when they aggrod, but is great for DNA sampling so you don't waste a turn auto-attacking when aggrod while trying to mount your bike and make a hasty getaway.
The last line isn't necessary, but can lead to some fun storytelling when you get the inevetible "OMG, How did U do that!!??"

LOL. I had a friend who always said "Force Choke."
Since most BE's walk around with their titles off, as do many Jedis, it can look fairly interesting.
Even without it, I have caught bounty hunters reading my bio, just from having my title off. But that is all right with me. I have a cute little story there that begins, "My mother and I waited for hours before the droid at the cloning station apologized that it had somehow not cloned my father, but had cloned the chuba that killed him instead. We took Dad home, but he was never the same..." The remainder is an account of how tough it is for a kid to grow up with a chuba as a father.

I think it may have been you or your friend that I got the "Jedi Death Grip" idea from. I admit, it isn't my original idea, but I couldn't remember where I got the idea from to give credit. Also, the part about the chuba incident sounds very familiar. Do you have a character on Bria, or maybe have posted your bio in the forums?

should be /peace;/sampleDna;/pause 9.5;/say Jedi Death Grip!
that way you say it right before the critter kicks the bucket, a lot more theatrical =D

I don't think I've already posted the chuba bio, but who knows? I have been known to repeat myself in the past. As for the "Force Choke," that was a long time ago, so I may have posted it. I've never had a character on Bria. I'm an unfortunate no-alt single-character player who relies heavily on his friends. Fortunately, my friends have been very reliable.
I did, however, post an old bio about releasing a pet on the CH forums. Between, I added bogus badges such as:
...is the leading cause of rancor tooth decay
I love playing with my bio. I only wish I had more text space to play with.

its 10 s exactly for a DNAsample, barring lag/sync issues....turn on your timestamps, makes it easy.
