the stat weightings are 50% OQ, 30% PE, 20% FL.....check the FAQ, it oddly enough answers many questions that are frequently asked =)

I'm new to BE. I have read the Guide and I still cannot figure it out. Can someone tell how to make pets? I don't understand how to get the right CL and the Resists. Plz help me understand it better.

The best way to do this is to start by getting the mechanics of it. Try to make a pet. Don't try to make a perfect one right away, just make a few pets of any quality. This way you get the process down.

As far as CL goes, really no one knows how it works for sure. The only way even to get an idea is to make as many pets as possible and to keep good notes. I keep a notebook much like a lab notebook for my pet creations. If you want to get a good feel for pets, you should do something similar. Do something that keeps a record of your experiments so that you can look back at them.

All 5 DNA slots affect resistances, but not all five of them affect the resistances in the exact same way. The Physique slot determines the most at about 40% of the values you get. The Prowess and Aggression slots determine 25% each. The other two slots only have a 5% effect each. Vulnerability in any slot makes it much less likely that you will get any resistance at all.

Something you should know early is that BE isn't something everyone enjoys. There is abit of math, and a lot of thought that goes into each pet. If you like mental puzzles and games that involve a lot of thought, you'll love BE. If you don't, then it will be torture for you. In some professions, all masters are the same. Any master can do anything the profession entails. In BE, becoming a Master BE is tedious. BEING a Master BE is a growth process that never seems to end.
