Can anyone recommend the best overall highest level pet for a nonCH to use to group with to pull better solo missions?
What about the best that would also double as a mount?

non-ch pets in your group actually LOWER your difficulty level. if you want to pull higher missions by yourself then use your 250 SP and get some CH skills.

What about BE pets? Would they lower it, too?
And BTW I don't have any SP left to spend on CH skills - that's why I was asking the question about nonCH pets.

When you get a mission, I believe it is the level of the pet in your group that matters and not its stats. So even if we make an ub3r l33t level 10 pet for you, it still counts as level 10 and won't help you get a better mission.

well you have choices to make. everyone has 250 SP, if you want to have a less uber template then pick up some CH skills but it means you can pull higher missions by urself. of course, if you're imperial you could always use an AT-ST.

For sure buy a non CH BE pet thats a given 
But if you want to increase yourability to pull higher level missions, get a DE to get you a fully tricked out combat probot. You can tell when they will give you greater missions, if before you group, they con yellow or red.
