Try some Jawa beer as well...really you need Mask Scent IV as well though. Even with all these, you will get aggro more times than not, and the best thing to do is keep trying until it works

There are some tactics like find a rancos spawn, set a wp, move away so that it 'despawns', hop on speeder and blast straigth to the wp as fast as possible, before the rancors spawn...you shoul dnow be standing right in the middle of a bunch of rancors...next prob is getting a sample

The first thing to realize is that you will not be able to sample kimos. Kimos have CL that range from 95-153 and the highest CL anyone has ever reported sampling in the current BE system is 75. That is not a mask scent limitation, it is a dna sampling limitation. Also many of the rancors in the game are also above CL 75. You might want to look at www.swgcreatures.com to get an idea what you can and cannot sample.

exploration4 with +25 mask scent clothing bonus is sufficient togive youa good chance of masking yourself up to, I'd say, CL 60 or so. For things higher than that, you'll have to resort to things like Jawa Beer, and tricks like crawling or approaching things from behind.

There is a 'trick' (not a bug or exploit, REALLY) for getting guranteed Mutant Rancor DNA.

What you need:
- Swoop
- Master Scout (i.e. you ARE a master scout)
- +25 Clothing
- Decent Jawa Beer
- Decent kinetic armour.

Right what you do is, find you MR spawn point. Put on your armour, chug your jawa beer and re-apply your mask scent. Hop back onto yer swoop and fly right into the middle of them. It is likely that they will break mask scent. Here's the crucial bit. If they agro you, fly off until they stop. If they don't, quickly hop off your bike and re-apply mask scent. Because you have all the right gear for mask scent, it will only take ONE SECOND to re-apply mask scent. This means that you should be able to stand right next to a MR, smelling like roses with a big pointy needle sticking out his arse.
