Thread: Pet Food
Hey there,
Can BEs make petfood? I am just curious.
And if you can make pet food, how much do you get in a crate from a factory?
No such thing as pet food. Pets eat normal charachter food. I make food and experiment it too the most charges possible and sell it as pet food in my pet vendor. As for factory crates they come out in 20's.
Ok.
When I say pet food....when creature handlers buy food for their pets they are more concerned with quantity over quality. So chefs have been calling food with low buffs but as many charges as we can pump into it petfood. Not an official name, but that is what I meant. Regular food made with the idea it would go to pet.
And somebody posted this on the chef boards: I was trying to sell him the usual 25-serving crate of pet food, and he said "no thanks, i was looking for the 245-size crates of pet food that Bios sell
I was just wondering if BE do this or if it was a misunderstanding or a miscommunication. Apparently it was.
Sorry your factories not working...believe me, I sympathize. ![]()
Thats a complete misunderstanding\miscommunication on his part. We can't make anything like that.
Most of the people I know just use /forage to get pet food. Thats what I do and it works great.
i've actually had someone tell me that they were able to get BE items to work in a factory (ukla on lowca, lieing basterd). Now I've actually tried every schematic i can make, even animals (isnt that silly) and they dont give option to use them in factory schematic slot. So if this person is saying they were able to do it, it's prolly a exploit, which may end up with unplanned results.
If anyone was in beta, was there a max number of items per factory crate? If not, it may be a throwback from beta.
And no, none of our schematics is edible by pets or PCs for that matter.
Grelgen...
Your postareworthless to these boards. I never said I was making the BE items I said I was working with BEs and Doctors to see if a workaround can be done just like the doctors found for their crates. I have not sold any crates or taken any credits for future crates. You have posted trash about me for the last month with noone backing your claims.
Listen before you speak, kid. Learn some manners and maybe someone would share information with you. No I did not get into details with you because you did not own a factory to even help with the research.
Some advice...
Get spell check if your going to call someone names. Learn to spell it. Finally learn to read titles Im not even a BE nor was I ever one as well as Ukla is a male Wookiee not a female.
Ukla- Wookiee Creature Handler/Ranger/Rifleman
Ha! Ha! Too late! I got rid of Survival 2 and I'm never going back!

Not sure what that has to do with pet food. It just seems to be my mantra of the day.
This would actually be a great improvement to our profession.
Just imagine if pets could not eat normal food(or they could eat normal food, but it would only satisfy their pets for a verylimited time, or slowly start degrading their stats). Instead, the pet owner would have to go out and purchase specially designed pet foods. These foods would not only fulfill your pet's dietary needs for a long time, they would also buff your creature.
This would enforce the needs of the pet owning community on Bio Engineers, and make us a part of the economy. To make it even more integrated, make the higher level pet foods require components that only Chefs can make. Then, we are not really taking anything away from their profession either. We are dependent on them, and CH and other pet owners are dependent on us. A nice circle.
The higher level foods would of course be more difficulty to make, possibly requiring limited resources, or those from dangerous worlds, and would provide an increased effect.
