Thread: unable to sample clones????

firstly I am on shadowfire and we've had our share of problems recently that were exclusive to the server it seems. having said that, last night I was tinkering with a twin recipe I'm working on for an order and found myself unable to sample my gen1 I had just produced.. it would give me the system message about starting to take a sample...and that's it. never got a positive or negative result.. I of course sent a /bug ingame.. haven't been back ingame to see if all is well today and it was a lfuke or not, just thought I'd get this out there and see if anyone else has experienced this. oh btw I also tried to sample a couple pets made over a month ago thinking that perhaps the trouble was with clones created after the latest patch but alas I had the same results with them as well.. sure puts a damper on almost all my work if I can't do any generational sampling lol, hope it was a one time "hey maybe you should go get some sleep" message from the devs

It could be the case of full inventory?
Or wait until the server restarts.

If it was full inven then it should let you start and just spit out a "failed" message (repeatedly). I'm bettign this is a server issue, but if nothing is mentioned i'll see about making a multi-gen pet just to test this.

When sampling clones, I find it won't work if it's standing on the floor and I use my /sampledna hotkey. It will only work for me if I use the 'sample dna' option on the radial. Did you use your hotkey as well?

I tried both my hotkey and the radial option on pets both dropped and still in my inventory.. have had a hectic day and as yet haven't tried again.. like I said though shadowfire is having serious issues lol, took me 30+ tries to drop two heavy floras today.. kept telling me I was unable to perform this action in my current state. unless they meant being buffed the server is a tad off kilter had 2 lots open, I checked

When you get 'cannot do this in your current state' I found that targetting something and then untargetting it would let me place it.

new publish on TC, and resampling five deeds gave me six DNA. one fail, six successes. CL11 deeds (trying to get them down below CL10). could be bad luck, but I generally expect 20-30 DNA from 5 low CL deeds.

I've noticed that I get alot less samples from deeds recently too, the way my luck has been going lately I just figured it was a karma backlash for selling cl10 pets for 7.5k switched to fpp/vd/blah/blah/blah for the 20 kinetic as well

sample rates were better last night.
unfortunately, I got little crafting done... I was travelling around like a fool ogling the new draw distance and taking pictures.
edit: my clicky was typo'd.
