I'm new to BE and have limited SP for combat ie probably only 2 lines of any advance combat prof.
I thought of carbineer as as I have a Rifleman and a Melee alt already... however what might be the most effect pls?

TK 4400 isa popular build, meditation is nice and the damage is good, you spend a lot of time in close quarters with animals that aggro you too.

Combat?! I wish....as Mdoc and MBE, not enough sp to even think about it.

Knowwhat you mean, I have novice pistoleer (wooooooooo)
Depends what stance you want. If you want to be defensive then pick up TKA 4400, if you want to do some damage then get TKA 4040. Pistoleer 0044 is nice because you get some nice state defences, fan shot and melee def and pistol speed. I'm not a big fan of carbineer so really can't comment on it. Krayt tissues are coming down in price so if you can get yourself a decent krayt republic blaster (doooon't get a modified one, the bleed dot reaks havoc as the creature comes back to haunt you - i was triple incapped by a torton bull and then had my AV21 smashed to pieces because of it
)

Fencer 0440.
With a looping COB macro you will hardly get hit, more so if you throw in some pikatta pie. Buffs and armour become unnecessary, saving you time and money. Certainly your defences will be high enough to make a safe getaway. Plus you get a stun baton certification which lets you make short work of most creatures if you choose to fight back.
If you can spare the points to master you become effectively untouchable by anything that you can sample and many things you can't.
TKA is of course the other obvious choice. You will be hit more, incurring wounds and battle fatigue, but the higher toughness ought[1] to keep you safe.
[1] I've never been a TKA so I'm going off the numbers. No comment on whether buffs/armour would be necessary. I wouldn't think so.

I used to be TKM/MBE, but have recently swapped the BE to my alt making my template MDoc/MBE.
I miss the offense/defense of TK, but I can heal all the states that a TKM can, and do it in combat too
I would suggest with 2 trees spare go TK 4040, but it is down to personal choice. I would shy away from ranged as you need to be in close and dirty to get samples, and that can cause problems for ranged.

Melee is your best option unless you chose some creature handler skills. Rifles is a good combo with creatures as long as you are able to do some damage. Your animal will hold aggro leaving you able to shoot from a safe distance.
Without something to hold aggro the wild critters are going to run up to you. Rifles, or anything ranged, isn't going to help much. Either get melee combat or learn to run real fast.
