I'm a newly respeced master BE (I've had it for the past 3 days.) I was wondering if anybody could gimme some cloning tips. I am sort of a monster masher right now but I want to understand more. Only problem is I just can't figure out how you guys can get specials or armor out of something when you want it. Its sort of a guessing game for me. I play on the server Bria and if theres any master BEs out there on Bria that would consider taking up an apprentice and showing me the ropes ingame I would much Appreciate it. Thx aton for any help in advance.

Thankyou for the reply. I have already read this post and it is quite helpful. Yet I wish not for recipes but merely to understand the system and How I can control and master creating creatures so I can make them specifically how I wish. I want to be an evolutionist not a monster masher. Thankyou once again for your help the recipes are nice.

I'd suggest reading the stickies and FAQ's. I'm a new BE myself, and am just starting to understand all of the stats and how they play out in crafting / cloning.

Until further notice (and we do not expect this to change anytime soon if at all)



  • armor effectiveness on the pet deed is dictated by the fortitude value BUT it resets after the creature is tamed and called twice - therefore you cannot set the armor that you want on the pet like you could in the old crafting system

  • to hit and defense are also reset by the system at this point.

  • specials have been (temporarily we hope) removed from BE crafted pets in the game. Any specials that you are seeing on BE pet deeds were made before publish 17.

It seems as if you are getting tangled up in old pet crafting information vs. new pet crafting information. This is understandable and it is by no means quite easy to understand either system.


There isn't any reason to understand the old pet crafting system tho - not while learning the new - once you understand the new system, you can always go back and see how it used to be but until then I would stick with learning what can be applied now.
