Thread: What happened to sampling?
My novice BE was sampling last night as well. I took notes of her results:
tame worrt (level 2): succeed 3/6
runted rill (level !): succeed 4/11 BUT if you remove the one that took 7 tries to get 1 success then 3/4
rill (level 2):succeed 4/10
observations:
it seemed easier to sample rills than worrts and again easier to sample worrts than rockmites. May not have been actually true as I did not have large enough samples to check this.
I sampled two level 11 sycks:
first one: failed about 10 times before suceeded and it died
second one: succeeded on first attempt and itdied.
This seems to me to be about the right amount of success to me comparing to sampling with a mBE on level 60+ animals pre-publish 20.

Some things never change...For the past 18 months BEs have been claiming the DNA smapling rate has changed for the worst with every patch...If any of it was true...then it's a wonder the skill is still in the game...
Well, I will say that something is up at the very least. I failed my first six attempts on a female swamp tusk cat (CL16). After I finally got asample things went smoothly. Started with fails on the next spawn but only three this time. I expect to fail more with the higher-end mobs but have found that the fail rate, at least for me, is about the same no matter what the level.
Perhaps this has changed along the way since CU, wouldn't be the first time anything BE related was changed and we weren't notified.
