Thread: Are old BE rancors still tameable?

Im sure this has been asked before but i cant find it anywhere. I have some old 12.6k ham rancors from before the big BE patch and i was wondering if they are still useable?

I dont know.. I just made one at 13k so I hope so. I need to know what these sell for.

I have the same question. Pre-dna revamp rancors and gurrecks? Still tamable? If so what are their stats? Same as what you see in the wild?

I made over a dozen of these before the patch went in. I've given a few to guild mates and they tamed them no problems.

They work fine. I sold a few over the weekend with no problems.

Work for me as well... when I came back.


I had some blurgs I made as "junk" to resample... when I came back they could be tamed... show up as lvl 0(1) and examine as a 50.


Gurrek and Rancor I bought turned out the same.


I don't use them really but can still tame far as I've seen.

Reason I ask that last question is I have several gurrecks too prepatch made. I know they had their resists revamped in the Creature revamp. If someone tames the pre-patch ones will they have current wild resists or old resists i wonder?

Got an old BE rancor and the nice thing about him is that he has 640-650 dam. Other than that he looks like any other rancor.

Dunno if i tamed him before or after the patch though.

What about resists, etc. Are they defaulting to current "wild" rancor stats?

the resists have been reworked for old be pets... yes old BE pets are tameable*cept kimos*... I have a few pets that are prepatch a gurreck and a rancor to name two specifically and bother were tamed after the patch and both resists went to current wild resists.. but damage remained the same... I love my 690 damage rancor and my 580 damage gurreck.
