Player Correspondent Opening: Bio-engineer

  • Are you knowledgeable about the Bio-engineer?
  • Are you a community leader?
  • Can you objectively identify relevant issues and distinguish them from simply passionate arguments?
  • Do you like organizing information and corresponding with other members of a community?

The Development Team is looking for a volunteer correspondent for the Bio-engineer. Participation is completely voluntary and you can stop helping out at any time. We’re just looking for someone who can help us sort through the various issues for this profession.

Some things that you need to consider when applying:

  • Developing online games takes a long time. Results happen with long time involvement.
  • Player Correspondents should be leaders in their community and set a positive tone.
  • Player Correspondents should understand the technical aspects of playing the profession and the needs of their community.
  • Player Correspondents should be in touch with the communities concerns, understanding the essence of why players pursue their chosen profession.
  • Please include your forum name in the letter

If this is something you are interested in, please write a short paragraph on why you think you would be a good candidate and email it to [email protected]. Please put Bio-engineer Correspondent in the Subject Line. By submitting this email to us, you agree to allow us to contact you in connection with Star Wars Galaxies and agree that all correspondence with and material submitted to SOE will be the exclusive property of SOE and SOE may use such materials without limitation and in its sole discretion.

After we have reviewed the submissions, we will pick one person to be our correspondent. We will set them up with a special community title here on the forums and ask them to help highlight for us the relevant issues relating to this profession.

We will still continue to monitor the forums and read as many threads as we can. The correspondent is just to help us focus on the top issues and community concerns of the profession.

Thank you.

*Note: please make your letter the main body of the text. E-mail attached items are automatically deleted as part of our spam filter.

From a reader's perspective, I would love to see those of you who throw your hat into the ring also put a little note here, so the rest of us can see who is in the running.

She resigned. She cited term limitations and a need for continuity during the combat upgrade.

Her message is in the forums here:

Although my post count is relatively low, I am pondering applying for this position (=

Even though my posts may seem a little low in the count as well, as I mainly only post on the BE forum, I think Iwill apply.

I love the BE profession, and haven't even considered dropping it once. I am changing templates for my 2 Chars, including grinding BE again, mainly because it will fit better with the way I play BE

On the side of who else should apply, I reckon that either ArthurDent or Zad (if we could persuade him back) would make excellent Correspondents.

I don't know on this one. I would LOVE to apply for BE correspondent, but I'm not sure anyone here would want me to. I have played a BE for a while and have loved every moment of it. I started as a gift to my wife who was struggling in CH. I secretly became a BE and started making her pets to cheer her up. She loved it, but more importently I loved being a BE.

I haven't posted here as of yet because there hasn't been anything that has come into my mind for new ideas.

Well I'll let you guys decide if I should try for it. Here are two writing/idea samples of mine. One is on Korriban and the other on a new Weather System.

I know most of the issues with BE since I have visited and lurked quite a bit and would love to represent you.

Again let me know if I should run. I don't want any hard feelings from the BE community.

dont take it as a bad omen or anything The last few months have just been a good point to step down for a lot of people, we've just submitted our quarterly reports and after the hols the CU should be getting in to full swing.
